Our 6" half-round painted aluminum gutter system was, in parts, 40 years old. Other parts had been mended or replaced with inadequate 5" half-round gutters, the hangers for which were not properly spaced. The net effect was sagging gutters that overflowed during heavy rain. In places, that caused the red clay mud to splash onto the stucco surfaces. What a mess. We consulted with several highly recommended gutter companies, but the prices seemed a little steep. However, some damage from trees hitting the house during Hurricane Helene was the final straw. We consulted with a few more gutter companies at the time when they were all overworked replacing gutter systems. Finally, an excellent local remodeling contractor recommended Dotson Seamless Guttering as the only gutter company he used. Ethan and company popped over quickly and gave us a very fair proposal given the circumstances. It took a couple of months for the special order gutter hangers to be produced by an out-of-state supplier, but the gutter work was completed within a couple of weeks after the hangers arrived. The quality of craftsmanship is exceptional. Many visitors have commented on the good-looking gutters - not a home feature usually noticed. There was one very small section that held a little water and needed to be reworked. That task was also completed in short order and to our full satisfaction.
